Behind the work.

I design physical and digital experiences that help people feel heard, understood and considered.

A little about me

I’m Alexcia, a product designer endlessly curious about people, how things work, and how they could work a little better.

Empathy shapes how I design. I care about creating experiences that feel thoughtful, intuitive and genuinely considered.

Based in Sydney

Life is already complicated enough.

I believe good design should make things feel a little easier, not add more noise.

That means understanding the people behind the problem and creating experiences that feel intuitive, thoughtful and human.

always start with people

People first

Good design starts with people.
I want to understand what someone needs, how they feel and what might be getting in their way, then design from there.

Curiosity Before Assumption

I’d rather ask than assume. Curiosity helps me uncover what’s really happening beneath the surface and challenge the obvious answer when there might be a better one.

Clarity Over Cleverness

If people have to work too hard to understand it, something’s gone wrong. I value simplicity, hierarchy and experiences that make the next step feel obvious.

Craft With Purpose

Details matter when they make the experience better. I care about how things look and feel, but every design decision should have a reason for being there.

Unless it's abstract...

Progress Over Perfection

I’m a work in progress, and I think good design usually is too. My best decisions have come from making something, getting it wrong, and trying again, not from waiting for perfect.

Working together

My favourite ideas often start with a conversation. I value asking questions, challenging ideas and making them better together.

Ask Questions

Good questions uncover what we’re really solving, and what we might have missed.

Challenge Ideas

Push back, poke holes, ask “but what if?”. Different perspectives make the work stronger.

Better together

The best idea doesn’t have to be mine. Discussion, iteration and trust lead to better work.

Outside the screen

I believe creativity doesn't stop when I close Figma. Everything I experience, the people I meet, the places I explore, and the stories I hear, finds its way back into the way I design.
